FAQ’s

Q. Is it possible to get lunch at the RAI, and something to eat after the public talk?
A. Yes, there will be sandwiches sold at the RAI. There are also other places to eat right outside of the RAI.

Q. Is there a separate entrance for those who are ill?
A. No.

Q. May I take a plastic bottle of water into the hall?
A. Yes.

Q. Why are the tickets so expensive?
A. The tickets are actually cost price, and all parties involved are participating either free of charge or for a minimal fee.  If a profit is made, this will be donated to worthy projects approved of by the Dalai Lama. The organisation is a non-profit foundation.

Q. May we take mobile telephones and wallets into the hall.
A. Yes; please turn your mobile telephone off in the hall.

Q. I am trying to book Rank A but it does not seem possible.
A. When ranks are sold out, they are no longer available in the system.

Q. I made a mistake and would like to trade, is that possible?
A. No, in principle this is not possible. If you have ordered too many tickets, you can let us know – we might know someone who was not able to buy a ticket and would be happy to buy yours.

Q. I would like an audience with His Holiness, is this possible?
A. No, this is not possible, the programme is over full.

Q. I have a question for His Holiness, can I ask him something?
A. You can ask your question via the website. However, because of the number of questions, we cannot guarantee that your question will be asked and that you will receive an answer.

Q. Are opera glasses allowed?
A. Yes, they are permitted.
